Most people guess I'm Japanese. Close-ish. I'm Vietnamese, born and raised in Ho Chi Minh City, then shipped to Vancouver for school.
One of my startups, getkith.xyz, just got acquired. So right now I'm spending a bit of it to relax and investing on the side.
Building is my love language. This page is the long version of how I got here.
Street smart story first, nerdy numbers underneath. Honestly, that's how most of my life has gone.
Went to a school for the gifted (sounds like X-Men, was not as cool).
I majored in History and Government and won history prizes at the city and national level in Vietnam. I know a suspicious amount about communism.
I also tried to become a League of Legends pro in Vietnam. I failed. The history prizes aged better.
I moved to Vancouver for school. Langara College. Not Stanford. Still counts.
Then Covid hit and I was half surviving, half dead. I've been working since I was about 18 and I have never worked less than 40 hours a week, so I did what broke students do. I got a job.
I became a server at a karaoke bar. From 2020 to mid 2021 I closed $1.6M+ in liquor revenue. The tips paid for my college. Not metaphorically. Like actually.
Life is so unserious sometimes.
I joined Bella Virtual, a virtual staging company in Canada, as the 3rd founding employee. I led webdev, AI and growth.
Growth, at the time, meant cold email. Around 2 million of them, sent at the peak of cold emailing, 2023 to 2025. I cold-outreached 300k+ realtors.
I also built a BPO team in Vietnam from scratch. It closed down. The office literally caught fire. Yes, literally. The universe has a sense of humor.
But the fire isn't what killed it. It's mostly on me.
These days I'm a founder. I look for contrarian ideas, the ones that sound slightly wrong at dinner, and build them anyway.
